Runnymede Pianos are experienced in repairing all kinds of common actions and found in modern pianos as well as some older actions in vintage pianos.

The action is the name for the hammer mechanism inside your piano.  Actions are built up thousands of of intricate parts all finely adjusted to give an even touch and to react to how your fingers press the keys, these parts consist of wood, leathers, felt, cloth, pins and springs.

Being mechanical and working under great stress (the key to hammer ratio is 5 to 1 meaning the hammer strikes the strings five times harder than the pianist strikes the key) results that over time pianos are prone to need repairing.

If your piano has failed do not hesitate to contact Toby for a quote.

Toby recomends that as well as tuning you also have your piano serviced and cleaned on a regular basis, this will help prevent any possible costly repairs.  You do this with your car, why not your piano?
